The Team

  • A man wearing glasses, a helmet, and a black rain jacket taking a selfie at a beach during overcast weather

    Qais Alamdar

    FOUNDER

An intelligent society, empowered young people, and polymath minds will defend democracy and counter the narratives and malicious information seeking to erode the very fabric of trust that holds societies together. That is why we are here: for the three S’s: Safety, Security, and Survivability.

    Viktoria Waldvogel

    Coordination Lead

We live in a time where information moves faster than we can process it and algorithms quietly shape what we see. Fact-checking and investigative work help us slow down and see connections, hold power accountable and make informed choices. Essential for both democracy and a sustainable planet.

  • Portrait of a young woman with dark wavy hair, wearing a navy blue ribbed sweater, smiling against a plain light-colored wall.

    Mariam Alnouri

    Head of Relations & Engagement

Propaganda and disinformation aim to control what we believe, and who gets to speak. A democracy that excludes women’s voices is one already under threat. Women’s participation in truth-telling and decision-making is what keeps democracy alive, grounded in reality rather than manipulation. Every act of honest storytelling becomes an act of resistance.

    Renata Vadillo

    Head of Resources & Knowledge

Disinformation and propaganda don’t just mislead, they poison the spaces where communities live, talk, and make decisions. They erode trust, feed hostility, and chip away at the basic rights and protections people rely on. Left unchecked, they create tangible harm.
